Dear Tutors,
Just like to share a tip highlighted by our tutor, Jamie. She has been taking bus 23 and alighting at Bedok North Rd after a stretch of the journey on PIE. By placing the ez-link card on the reader before the "No Go" circle disappears (i.e. before the Exit sign appears), the reader will deduct $0.69 instead of $1.11, a difference of 42c.
This is probably due to a lag in updating of reader. While it seems to be cheating SBS, she has done nothing wrong as she places her card only after the bus stops at her alighting bus stop. Especially in such bad economy, this is indeed a good tip for tutors who travel long journeys. It should probably work on other buses with express sections, but you can comment below or email us to confirm that!
